Three excellent books which I’m not even going to write about

sleeperThat’s how good these are. I’m not  thinking through what I like about the plot development or the illustration style. I could gush on for pages, but instead, you should just get these books and read them. Do it now. Don’t waste time skimming your Facebook feed. Forget about that laundry piling up and the meetings you’re supposed to be at. Just find them and read them. You will feel better, even if you already feel great, and that’s never a bad thing.

The Sleeper and the Spindle – Neil Gaiman, illustrated by Chris Riddell. (Also in Trigger Warning by Neil Gaiman, but the illustrations are worth an extra look.)

Hilo: The Boy Who Crashed to Earth, Judd Winick. (A graphic novel for kids, but anyone can and should read it. So much fun!)hilo

The Day the Crayons Came Home, Drew Daywalt. (A picture book. Crayons sending postcards…. Who wouldn’t love that?)crayons
